A shocking incident has come to light in the Rabindranagar police station area of Maheshtala's Ward No. 8, where a teenager was allegedly attacked and tortured. According to his family, the boy was falsely accused of mobile theft, then hung upside down, brutally beaten, and subjected to electric shocks. The victim has been identified as Samsad Ali, 14, a resident of Chhogharia area under Islampur police station.
Local sources indicate that approximately three years ago, an individual named Shahensha rented a premise in Kankuli Purba Para, within Maheshtala Municipality's Ward No. 8, to operate a jeans washing factory. Samsad Ali and his brother Ansar Ali were brought from their village to work at this factory, where they had been employed for about a month and a half.
The incident reportedly occurred recently, leading to the alleged torture of Samsad Ali. His family claims that the false accusation of mobile theft was used as a pretext for the brutal assault, which included hanging him upside down, severe beating, and electric shocks.
Residents revealed that the accused, Shahensha, abruptly closed the factory and fled the area yesterday. The factory now stands deserted, adding to the tension and uncertainty in the locality following the heinous act.
